What a week

Bob Stretton (8th May 2013)

(Starts:Wed 8th May 2013 until Sun 9th June 2013 )
What a week for the club, on Sunday the under 14 lost 2-1 in the Final of the Midlands Junior League Major Cup and the Under 16 lost by the same score line in the Under 16 Major Cup Semi Final on Saturday but they made up for the dissapointment the next day by winning the Under 16 League Cup and thereby achieving the League and Cup double so well done.

The Senior team went to Homes Park on Wednesday and won the Jelson Homes Senior Cup Final 3-1 and on the same night the under 18 who had been on top of the League all season were pipped for the Under 18 Southern Floodlit Championship on goals difference by St andrews who needed to win thier last game by 11 clear goals and did it by winning 12-0. However the under 18 still have the League Cup Final to come.

Looking slightly further afield the under 11 will represent the club in the 9v9 County Cup Final on Wednesday and the under 12 will compete in the 11v11 League Cup final at Linwood this Sunday and then in the County Cup Final at Holmes Park a week on Sunday.

County Cup Finals News

Bob Stretton (25th Apr 2013)

(Starts:Wed 25th April 2012 until Tue 25th June 2013 )
In the County Cup Final at Holmes Park last night Ayletone Park 94 beat Aylestone Park Youth 2-0 to lift the trophy.

This is the first occassion that a 94 team has won a County Cup Honour and the club congratulates Trev, Mick and all the team for their hard work over 8 years in this achievement.

We also congratulate Brandon, Taj and the Youth Team for their contribution to an excellent game of football between two very good sides played in a very sporting manner. They should not be too dissappointed having already won the Under 16 Premier League title, reached the League Cup Final and also in the Semi Finals of the Midland Junior Premier League Major Cup. Good luck to them in the forthcoming matches.

Inclusive Section

Bob Stretton (11th Apr 2013)

(Starts:Wed 11th April 2012 until Mon 24th June 2013 )
Our Inclusive section are in need of some new coaches to help every other Friday Night. The next session is on Dorset Avenue Friday 26th April.

Now that the intensity of the season is easing why not turn up and help out and then look towards improving your coaching skills by going on the Course at Brockington College. Its a one day course and is very useful to understand the requirements of those players who need extra encouragement.

New players are also most welcome.

Aylestone Park Youth U16’s

Steve Cramp (18th Feb 2013)

(Starts:Mon 18th February 2013 until Wed 19th June 2013 )
Aylestone Park Youth U15’s ended the 2011-12 season on a high. They won the Leicester & District First Division title, won the Leicester Sunday Junior League Cup and finished Champions of the Midland Premier Junior League. Management retained the nucleolus of that winning squad for the 2012-13 season and the team are currently in contention for the same three titles and of course the prestigious Leicestershire F.A. County Cup.

APY is truly representative of the multi-cultural society in which we live and strongly adheres to the County F.A. Respect Programme. Consequently, team ethics and the conduct of individual players are of paramount importance. A commitment to playing attractive football permeates throughout the squad. The side work hard at the basics of `pass & move’ football where teamwork is absolutely fundamental. Not everyone is blessed with natural talent but within the framework of the team, individuals are encouraged to showcase their skills and abilities.
